NO WAR / MILITARY OCCUPATION…

ANYWHERE!

Bottom left: our Peace&Justice sign when we protested the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq (photo from 2006).

Top left: our Peace&Justice sign displayed by the Colosseum on
March 18, 2023, the twentieth anniversary of that invasion and occupation, with the word “anywhere” added.

"Anywhere" today means, of course, Russian troops out of Ukraine and elimination of Russian bases there. But it also means pulling NATO special forces and military advisors out of Ukraine and eliminating all NATO bases there, installed beginning in 2014. They are, in fact, the origin of the conflict.

"Anywhere" also means pulling U.S. troops out of occupied Northeast Syria, there for the oil (Trump dixit).

"Anywhere" also means pulling NATO troops out of occupied Northeast Iraq, now under Italian command and there for the oil, too.

How can we credibly condemn the Russian invasion and occupation of Eastern Ukraine when we have invaded and are still occupying Northeastern Iraq and Syria???

More about our appeal:

NO WAR/OCCUPATION ANYWHERE!”

This sign applies to occupations of third countries by our allies, as well.

Thus, "anywhere" also means Israeli troops out of occupied Palestine and out of Syrian territory (Golan); Gulf State troops out of occupied Yemen; Turkish troops out of Northern Syria and Northern Cyprus; Moroccan troops out of Western Sahara; U.S. and Canadian troops out of Haiti.

Condemning just Putin and letting the others get away only means paving the way for more criminal invasions and occupations in the future. The fact they are perpetrated by us and our allies does not make them any less criminal.

With regards to Russia, "anywhere" means not only “out of Ukraine” but also ending the other Russian occupations: Crimea, Abkhazia, and Transnistria (provided NATO gives assurances it will stop meddling there – the origin of those conflicts, too) and Mali (provided the Gulf States withdraw the jihadist invaders that they fund and the French withdraw the remnants of their forces of occupation).

What a peaceful world it would be!

But for this to happen, our politicians and mass media must start condemning not only Putin, but also, with the same vehemence, Netanyahu, bin Salman, Erdogan, King Mohammed VI, Biden, Trudeau, Macron.
